In direct contrast to Cabbagetown, Inman Park was created around 1880 as an in-town suburb connected to the city by electric streetcars (trolleys). North of the tunnel is the Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park neighborhoods. Tunnel aside there are some cool neighborhoods in this section of Atlanta. And there is clearly some great talent used to create this art mosaic. The tunnel itself is over 100 years old, but the artwork keeps it fresh. In Atlanta, sitting directly under the CSX Hulsey Train Yard and connecting the Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward neighborhoods to the north with the Cabbagetown and Reynoldstown neighborhoods to the south, the Krog Street Tunnel, aside from its’ role as a thoroughfare, is a conduit for local graffiti artists.ĭecorated from stem to stern with some pretty special artwork, this is definitely a cool place to visit.
